A Busy Week!!!

Its been a week since I last posted anything, sorry!!!

It's been a crazy week. My grandparents came up for a family wedding last weekend, and my grandfather ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis. What was supposed to be a nice week of fun and family, turned out to be craziness for them. But he is doing well and out of the hospital now. They're hoping to be going home, back to Florida sometime this week.

As for us, well where do I start. Matthew got his flu shot on Wednesday and went to his last "circle time" day on Thursday. Silly me forgot the camera, so I can't post any pics. Kaylee had a well baby visit on Friday...she also got her flu shot, as well as another one, my poor baby. She is now 27 inches and 14 lbs 11 oz. She's a tall skinny baby. She officially said her first word on Thursday..."baba." And now she won't stop saying it, but that's ok because she has the cutest little voice.

We had a very busy weekend as well.
We went out to Riverhead on Saturday to a Halloween campout with Jason's parents. Jeff, Lisa, and the girls also went out. It was a lot of fun. The kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes, had a little parade through the campground and trick or treated to all of the campers, very cute. They played games, painted and decorated pumpkins, and beat on a pinata lol :) We also had a really great spaghetti dinner. Thanks to Bea and Ted for inviting us, we had so much fun!!! I attached a slide show(below) of some pictures from the day.
Sunday, we went to a christening for our friends Carl and Christina's new baby girl, Grace.

We hope everyone had a fun filled weekend too!!

Library Trip

Today Matthew, Kaylee, & I are venturing off to the Library. I signed Matthew up for "Circle Time". It's a four week program for two and three year olds. They sing dance, and play. The last five minutes or so there is bubble time, which is Matthew's favorite part of the whole half hour. He is shy through the whole thing until the bubbles come out, very funny. And the kids all get a sticker at the end, which Matthew can't wait for either. It's fun and even Kaylee likes going. We brought her with us last week, and she loved watching all of the kids jumping up and down, and singing. She squealed through the whole thing, too cute.
Next week is the last week of the program, I'll have to take some pictures and post them next Thursday.

Kaylee-6 months old

Kaylee is now 6 months old!!! We've yet reached a new milestone this week...Kaylee is sitting up all by herself now for a few seconds, before she falls down...too cute.
We took her for her six month pictures, she's all ready for fall in her sunflower bow and dress.
"How cute am I?"
"Mom will you stop taking pictures of me already?!?!"

Great Find!!!

As mentioned the other day, it was recently Jason's birthday, so we had the parents(grandparents) over for cake on Tuesday night. Matthew couldn't wait to blow out daddy's candles lol:)Grammie and Grandpa(Jason's parents) went to a yard sale recently, and found some cute stuff for the grandkids. Among their great finds was this adorable workbench for Matthew.
Well let me tell you what a good find this really was...Grandpa got the guy to sell it to him for dirt cheap($12), its in great shape(would have paid more), and they will definitely get their money's worth...Matthew loves it and won't stop playing with it. We were going to put it outside, but I think we're going to have to find it a place IN the house now. Ugh, more toys to trip over...haha.

So Thank You Grammie and Grandpa

for the great workbench.

XOXO

Matthew

Pumpkin Festival

We had a really fun filled weekend or should I say Saturday. We went to a pumpkin festival with a whole group of friends, and it was really a lot of fun. There was so much to do...they had a craft fair, pumpkin pickng, hayrides, a cornmaze, crafts and games for the kids, a whole lot of farm animals to see and many other things to do too. Here is Matthew and Kaylee in the pumpkin patch.
This was Kaylee's first time pumpkin picking...How cute is she???
And Matthew couldn't wait to go pumpkin picking...He loves pumpkins this Halloween. This is the whole group of kids that were in our group. They were very cooperative taking this picture haha!!!

But they're ALL sooooo cute.

So we had a great time...Thank you to Danielle and Joe for inviting us. We look forward to going again next year.

One more note...

Happy Birthday to Jason!!!
(It was his birthday on saturday too!!!)

Halloween Preview

Here's a preview of this years Halloween costumes that Matthew and Kaylee will be wearing. Matthew picked his out all by himself. He's going to be a dragon, although he calls it a dinosaur. And Kaylee is being a butterfly.
Matthew wants to wear his costume pretty much everyday since we got them...he's too funny! And he insists on Kaylee wearing hers too, but that isn't happening lol:)
At least we're getting good use out of his costume this year!!!

It's October!!!

Happy October Everyone!

Can't believe it's October already. Fall is my favorite season...the fresh cool air, the beautiful changing colors of the leaves, the taste of hot apple cider(boy I look forward to a big mug with a cinnamon stick in it), and the smell of my candles burning. I just got some of the wonderful fall scents from Yankee Candle, they make the whole house smell like pumpkin pie and different spices, Yum!!!

I'm loving watching Matthew's reaction to all of the decorations this year. He loves pumpkins this year, and can't wait to go pumpkin picking this weekend.

And Kaylee, well it's her first Halloween, so obviously she doesn't really care. Lol:)

I wanted to share some pictures that I took of the kids today. They have these adorable shirts that Jason's cousin's wife, Amanda made for them. Aren't they the cutest? They're the perfect shirts to kick off October and the Halloween season. And Matthew loves his Mummy shirt, he wants to wear it all the time. Thank you so much Amanda for your wonderful creations. Speaking of these shirts, you can find them and many more great shirts, at Amanda's online shop, alaynascloset.etsy.com

Hope everyone has a great day!
