First Steps...

Kaylee has taken her first steps as of this afternoon!!!
******
She has been standing up all by herself for a while now, but just hadn't gotten that courage to take off and walk.
Matthew and I were watching her today and she had this look on her face like I'm going to do it, and she finally did...yay!!!
She's still using crawling as her main means of moving, but gets up and takes a few steps before she falls down.
She gets the biggest smile on her face after and looks sooooo proud of herself.
****
Our baby girl is growing way too fast, it makes me so sad.
Stay tuned for some video of Kaylee's first steps.

Kaylee's 1st Birthday Party

Wow I haven't written a post in quite a while.
Things here were a bit crazy trying to plan Kaylee's party after Easter.
Boy did we luck out with the weather for the party. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The sun was shining and the temps were in the seventies.
Everyone ended up outside and my house stayed pretty clean as a result yay!!!
Bear with me as I have posted quite a few pictures...
"Look at my pretty balloon!"

"Ummmmm yummy cupcake!"

Happy cousins Tara, Matthew, & Rebecca all playing well together out on the swings.

Grammie and cousin Kirstin.

Eleanor, Aunt Carol, & Uncle Bobby enjoying the sun.

Uncle Jeff stuffing his face with food lol:) Aunt Lisa enjoying her beer. And Aunt Melody enjoying holding a newborn that's not her own hehe!
Love you guys!

Uncle Chris and his girlfriend Jessie hanging out.

There's Aunt Melody again with Uncle Joe and Aunt Danielle, and their new daughter Peyton, she's sooooo cute and a little peanut.

The kids enjoyed fighting for the candy after they broke open the pinata.

Happy Birthday to you Kaylee!!!
She was like "what the heck is going on???" "Why are all of these people here?"

And we couldn't forget a family picture. Gotta love Matthew's Hawaiian Punch moustache lol:)
******
We had a really great day with family and friends.
The kids ran around the backyard all afternoon, while the adults all enjoyed the nice weather and good conversation.
We hope everyone had a great time!
******
Also I would like to thank Lisa for helping me out with the food. Your sausage rolls and rice were a BIG hit with everyone.
I would also like to thank our parents for the tables and chairs they let us borrow, and for helping out with the cleanup afterwards...HUGE help!

Easter Fun!

We hope everyone had a really nice Easter.
We had a full day of fun and family.
Matthew was up bright and early. Jason had to run out quick and set up the video camera, while I distracted Matthew in the bedroom with some cartoons for a bit...too funny! He couldn't wait to see what the Easter bunny brought him, and he couldn't wait to go and find all the eggs that were hidden.
Matthew and Kaylee opened up their baskets, Matthew searched and found all of the Easter eggs, he took egg finding very seriously lol:)
Then we had breakfast, got dressed and went to church.
Kaylee really had no clue what this Easter stuff was all about, but she loved her stuffed bunny and fisher price tea set that the Easter bunny brought her.
How cute do our two cuties look all dressed up???
Happy first Easter to our baby girl...It was Kaylee's first Easter!
After church we went to my parents house for Easter dinner.
The Easter bunny even went to Grandma and Pa's house to hide some eggs.
Matthew was so excited to find more eggs. He didn't even get his coat off, and he was off finding eggs already, it was so cute.
We had a very nice Easter!
Now we're looking forward to some warmer weather and Kaylee's 1st birthday party in two weeks.

Kaylee's 1st Birthday

Kaylee had a great 1st birthday!
We got her a couple of balloons and a Carvel cake to celebrate the day.
"Aren't I just the cutest birthday girl?"
"My Mommy and Daddy sure do think so."

Matthew couldn't wait to light the candles and sing "Happy Birthday" to his little sister.

Kaylee says, "Bring on that cake already!"

Matthew helped blow out the candle, while Kaylee watched in amazement.

Ummmmm, yummy cake!!!!
Besides having a cold, Kaylee had a great day.
We get to do it all over again in two weeks for her actual party...yay lots more fun to come!!!

It's the Easter bunny...

Matthew and Kaylee finally got to go and see the Easter bunny.
I thought we were never gonna get there with all of the colds we had going on.
We were going to go on Thursday when Matthew developed his rash. He was sooooo disappointed we couldn't go that day...I felt so awful.
But it was well worth the wait. He was sooooo excited to see the bunny and Kaylee loved him too. She got the biggest smile on her face.
They were just too cute!!!

The Big "One"

Happy 1st Birthday Kaylee!!!

Our baby girl is one today. Can't believe its been a year already...boy does time fly!!!
She has grown sooooo much over the past year. She has eight teeth now. She's all over the place crawling and walking along the furniture. She loves playing with her "big" brother Matthew and getting into all of his things. Of course he's not too happy about that lol:) She still loves our cat Tigger, chases him all over the house. She says Mama, Dada, baba, hi, and ca(which means cat in her language). She waves hi and bye and LOVES to clap hands. Jason is trying to get her to cheer for the Mets, too funny. Can you tell we brainwash our children???? In general we call Kaylee our little firecracker, she has sooooo much energy!

These are a few cute pictures I got of her in her birthday outfit, compliments of Amanda, our very talented cousin.
I asked her if she could come up with a cute outfit for Kaylee and boy did she exceed my expectations...this is the cutest little outfit. Thank you sooooo much Amanda, you're the best!!!
******
Stay tuned as I will post some more pictures when Kaylee has her first piece of Carvel ice cream cake tonight!
And in two weeks is her First Birthday Party!
******
Happy birthday our cute baby girl.
We love you lots and lots!!!!

Here We Gooooooo.....

Today is like a national holiday in the Ostroski household.
It's baseball opening day...woohoo!!!! Matthew and Kaylee are all ready for the Mets first game of the season.
***
GO METS!!!!
How cute is Kaylee in her new Mets bucket hat???
We bought it for her when we went to the game on Saturday.

Matthew has his bat and is watching the game as you can see behind him.

Oh there I am! lol:) We put the camera on the timer and took a picture.
Yes I have on my Mets shirt too!
I know, we're pretty crazy in this house during baseball season.
Stay tuned...
I'm sure there will be plenty more pictures of the crazy O's cheering on their favorite team!
Let's Go Mets!!!

Beautiful Field!!!

Jason, Matthew, and I made it to Citifield and what a beautiful new baseball field.
Unfortunately Kaylee didn't go to us because of the horrible cold and ear infection she had.
Matthew and I were feeling a little better thankfully! The entrance is really nice, they call it the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.

Matthew had so much fun. He kept yelling "Homerun" no matter who was at bat.
He also loved screaming "Let's go Mets!" and "Charge!"

Here's a good look at the field...it's sooooo nice!

The Mets didn't play very well, but that was ok with us. It gave us more of a chance to walk around the stadium. We went up to the upper level to get a different perspective and some pics.

Here is a picture of the scoreboard.
And we couldn't leave without taking a picture of what's left of Shea...just a pile of rubble there in the background.

We had a great day at the new home of the Mets.
We can't wait to make many family memories there.
I REALLY can't wait to take Kaylee to her first Mets game, hopefully this summer.
*****
Jason and I have to admit we were still a little sad to see Shea Stadium gone though!!!
