Our Christmas!!!

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We had a wonderful one. Our day started out opening gifts. Matthew was soooo cute this year, so excited. He left Santa cookies and milk on Christmas eve, and was so excited to see he ate them all. He also received a nice "thank you" card from Santa. But he really couldn't wait to open his presents. He was taring into them before Jason could even get the video camera up and running...lol! Matthew did really well this Christmas. He got some really nice presents from Santa, as well as his grandparents. Santa brought him an extra special present for giving him his binkies, a Wall-e that he really wanted.

And we can't forget Kaylee. It's her first Christmas. She did pretty well too. She got a musical zoo, some board books, glowworm, shopping cart, and the list goes on.

We spent the rest of our day running from my family to Jason's. We went to my parents house for a nice dinner, since my grandparent's are up from Florida. Then we went to Jason's brother Jeff and Lisa's house for dessert and spent some time with them. It was a busy day, but a very nice one in all. We spent the day with family and that's what the holidays are all about.

I posted a slide show below of some cute pictures I took from Christmas eve and Day. Hope everyone enjoys them.

We hope everyone has recovered from the hustle and bustle of Christmas, and has a really nice relaxing weekend. Get ready to ring in the New Year!!!

Hope he brings everyone what they wished for this year!
Enjoy the day!

Still going...

The snow, sleet and freezing rain finally stopped for a while last night.
But we woke up to it snowing again this morning. It was a very fine powdery snow today.
The worst today is the freezing cold temperatures.
Once again Matthew couldn't wait to get outside. You can see by his red rosy cheeks how cold it is, but that's not stopping him.
Him and dad were outside this morning for about an hour playing and shoveling.
It's nice to have a helper with that!
Kaylee and I stayed inside where it was warm and watched the boys in the backyard sledding around.
We're in for another storm tomorrow, but more of a rain event this time.
Have a nice weekend!!

Snow is here!!!

So the snow started falling about 10;30am this morning.
Matthew couldn't wait for it to start and when it did, he wanted to go outside so badly.
Daddy couldn't get his winter gear on soon enough!
As you can see Matthew stood by the door patiently waiting.
Kaylee even got in the act this time.
We bundled her up nice and warm and she went outside for about five minutes,
with Dad and big brother.
How cute is she all bundled up in her bunting?!?!

I'd say we've gotten about three inches of snow so far and it's still coming down lightly.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm, and enjoys the snow.

Let's get ready...

So it seems that the little bit of snow we received the other day was just a taste of what we're about to get. A bigger storm is on its way tomorrow. They're calling for a possible six inches or more. Thank goodness we just bought Matthew new snow boots. Jason said I jinxed us, that we wouldn't get any snow, since we bought the boots. Nice call Honey! Haha!
Hopefully Matthew will be able to wear them tomorrow, as he decided to start running a little fever last night. But today he seems ok, for now. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.
Jason ironically took tomorrow off, so him and Matthew will have to go and make a nice big snowman this time. I'll take some pictures, because I know Matthew is just going to love this "big" storm.
Stay tuned for updates on our storm!

Crazy yet again!

The snow ended finally last night.
We ended up with about an inch of the white stuff on the ground.
It looked so pretty coming down around all of the Christmas decorations.
We took another picture of the house, so all could see.
Today the snow has all melted away and its another gloomy day, raining off and on again. Matthew and I were sitting at the kitchen table eating lunch and saw a beautiful Blue jay sitting on top of the fence. I had to take a picture of him.
I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season...only 8 more shopping days left until Christmas! I can't believe its almost here already, how time flies.
Is everyone done with their shopping???
I'm almost done, just a few more things to buy! I have to start wrapping though, I can't stand tripping over bags and boxes in my bedroom anymore.
Speaking of which, maybe I will go and do just that right now, while the kids are in for their naps!

Crazy Crazy!!!

Our weather has been sooooo crazy the past few days.
Yesterday we were breaking records with temperatures near 60 degrees.
Today the day started out with rain and by the afternoon it looked like a blizzard.
Ugh, I wish it would make its mind up...Warm or cold!

The snowflakes were really huge at one point. I say they were about one inch in size, but it looked soooo pretty coming down.

Here comes Santa Claus!

We took Matthew and Kaylee to see Santa on Saturday night. Matthew couldn't wait to go see him.
All he wanted to do was tell him he wants a Wall-E for Christmas...Too funny!
As for Kaylee, she was much better than expected.
We thought as soon as we sat her on his lap, she would start crying, since she only wants Mommy lately, but not the case at all.
She sat on his lap like a good girl and kept looking up at him.

Where in the world is Matthew?

Here I am!!! He like "Where's Waldo?" Jason went outside to take some pictures of the house for me, and Matthew was inside the livingroom looking out the window waving to Daddy.

So as promised here is our decorated house outside.

It looks so much nicer in person.
Its kind of hard to get all the details in the dark.
Can you find Matthew in the picture? Lol:)

This is our livingroom window and porch all decorated.
Hi Matt! He's such a nut!

And this is my favorite part of all the outdoor decorations...
The front door!
I always love walking up to the lit up garland and trees.
Matthew loves Santa and Mrs. Claus!

And one more of the whole house a little dark again, but pretty.
I hope you all enjoyed my little tour of our house and our version of "Where's Matthew?"

What did I tell ya?!?!

So here it is...The annual hiding place of Kasey and Tigger for the next couple of weeks!
Boy do they love that tree when it goes up.
Great place to hide from Matthew and take a nice nap!

Matthew's Birthday

Today we celebrated Matthew's third birthday with a little family party.
But before the party I slaved over Matthew's birthday cake for quite a while last night. Now I know why bakeries charge so much for a cake....they charge you for all the time consumption put into icing it haha!
What a pain in the neck that was!
But I do think it came out quite cute if I do say so myself.
This year's theme...Elmo.
Matthew loved his cake too.
He was sooooo excited about it when I was making it, that he didn't go to sleep until I was pretty much done(at 11:30pm) last night.

Here are some cute shots of his Elmo themed party.
He got some great presents from everyone too.
Thank you to you all for his wonderful gifts!

The "Big" Reveal...

Drum role please.....

//
The Christmas tree is up and more beautiful than ever...Hooray!!!
It took a couple of hours and lots of breaks thanks to having to run to the store, my kids, dinnertime, my kids, bedtime, and did I mention my kids? Lol:)
Actually, they were really good while Jason and I decorated.
Matthew was a big help putting some ornaments on, and then taking them to play with.
Kaylee sat in her exersaucer and just watched and chewed on her toys.
Not much help there haha!
Even Tigger helped out. Hey where the heck was Kasey? Oh yeah sleeping as usual.

Matthew was sooooooo excited to see the tree finally go up.

And I think Tigger found a new hiding spot from Matthew for the next month!
I'll be back with more pictures, because I know Kasey will make a home under there too.

Stay tuned tomorrow night.
I will take some pictures of the outside of the house, and hopefully get some good pictures of the kids when they go to see Santa Claus.

Let's Party!

Since we haven't had a party for Matthew yet, he took it upon himself to have his own little party with his "friends." He has quite the vivid imagination now and is just too cute! He set up his chairs and made his cars stool into a little table, then put all of his favorite stuffed animals on each of the chairs and had a party!

These are a few cute pictures of Matthew at a birthday party for one of our friends son.
He had a blast in all of the bouncies.
We're thinking of doing his kiddie party there in January, once all of the holiday craziness is over.
This is an adorable picture that I wanted to post for Paul, Amanda, and Alayna.
Matthew looks just adorable in this shirt they sent him for his birthday.
Thank you for the wonderful birthday present !!!

Messy Messy!

Today has been such a crummy day...Rainy and windy!
And too make it worse, Matthew and Kaylee had to go to the doctors, Matthew for his yearly well visit, and Kaylee for a recheck on her spit up problem. What fun that was. We get to there and had to park a mile away, at least that's what it felt like in the rain. It's fun getting a toddler and an infant out of the car in record speed and running down the street to the building hehe!
We got into the office nice and wet. Matthew was such a good boy today. He let them do everything without a problem, even the shot he got went well. He knew he was getting a pretzel stick and a sticker in the end, so that helped a lot.
Poor Kaylee, thought she was going for a spit up recheck, and they ended up giving her two more shots too! But she also was a very good girl.
When we got home after another run through the down pouring rain, back to the car, Kaylee took a nice long nap, and Matthew and I watched his new movie Wall-E and had lunch.
Nice relaxing afternoon after a crazy morning.
So tomorrow(Friday) Jason has taken the day off, a nice long weekend for him.
We will be taking the kids to see Santa and putting up the Christmas tree...Yay!!!
Stay tuned for some pictures!!!
On Sunday we will be having over the family for a little birthday party for Matthew.
So a busy weekend ahead!
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Matthew!!!Our baby is now a little boy!
My how time flies. We can't believe Matthew is three today.
It feels like he was just born yesterday.
He's doing so much now and will begin preschool in the fall...ugh!!!
He has a wide variety of things he loves playing with now.
Elmo and Lightning McQueen(Cars) are two of his favorites.
He loves the show High Five on Discovery Kids channel, and pretty much anything Disney! He's just starting to get into Wall-E.
Oh and did I mention he loves dinosaurs too? Loves them is an understatement!
He can count to 12 and tries to sing the ABC's which is really funny.
And he loves singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
He's growing up so fast, so we enjoy every little thing he does.
We love you baby and hope you have a very Happy 3rd birthday.

And not to forget Kaylee, she is 8 months old today.
She is becoming quite the character with the cutest personality.
She LOVES her big brother and watches everything he does.
And she is getting up on all fours now. It's only a matter of time before she figures out how to move...Yay!
Mommy can't wait for her to start crawling...NOT!!! lol:)

Let it snow...

Oh the weather outside is frightful...but not to Matthew.
We had our first snow of the season, well it was only a coating,
but it's more than we had last year lol:)
We woke up at 8:00am and when we looked outside it was snowing.
We didn't even have breakfast yet and Matthew was dragging Daddy out the back door to go and play in the snow.
As you can see Matthew had a blast.
He looked like a frozen popsicle when he finally came inside.
We only got a little snow, but Jason and Matthew found just enough to make a small snowman.
We hope everyone is enjoying the start of the holiday season.

Kaylee didn't go outside in the snow,
but she wore her snowflake bow today for her first snowfall.

Oh Christmas Tree!

This year we decided to go and cut down our Christmas tree.
So we packed up the kids and headed out to the tree farm to find that "perfect" tree.
It was quite cold today, but we had fun walking through what seemed like acres of Christmas trees.
Matthew loved walking through all of the trees and Kaylee, well she had it best...nice and warm, being pushed around in the stroller.
After walking through and looking at many trees, because I am sooooo picky,
we finally found the one.

Here is our Christmas tree.
Stay tuned for the final reveal...The tree all decorated and lit up!

You better watch out...

I took some really cute pictures of Matthew and Kaylee
that I wanted to share.
Oooh! This garland looks good enough to eat!

"Really I am!"
The jury's still out on that one LOL:)

"I'm too cute to get into trouble." NOT!!!

Santa's watching you.
We'll find out if you've been good or bad on Christmas day!

Speaking of "Good," just a small note to tell everyone how proud we are of Matthew.
He finally gave up his pacifier or gee as he called it, for good...All gone!
He was still using it for naps and bedtime, but being that he's going to be three on wednesday, it was time for it to go bye bye.
He put the last two we had in a box and sent them to Santa.
He's hoping Santa brings him a really special present.
We'll see what Santa might have up his sleeve!
Enjoy your Day!!!

Let's take a tour...

As I mentioned the other day, the Christmas decorations have gone up and I've taken some pictures of all of the decorated rooms. Here we have the kitchen...I call this the snowman themed room. I put most of my snowman collection in here for Christmas.
As most of you know I LOVE snowmen.
I even put lights in the kitchen window this year. I'll have to take a picture at night when you can see the lights better, it looks so pretty in the bay window.
Moving on to the diningroom...In that corner where the rocking horse is, is where we will be putting our Christmas tree this year, when we get it. We always do a real tree!

Next we have the livingroom...I go all out in there. This is my absolute favorite. And isn't my little model cute? Matthew has been so cute with all of the decorations this year. He is so fun to watch his excitement.
Another cute pose!
And on to the den/familyroom. Sorry for the mess but its where the kids toys are too. And Matthew hasn't learned the art of cleaning up yet...haha!

My little helper was sooooo excited helping put up all of those decorations, he lost steam.
Time for a nap!!!
That ends our tour of the inside of the house.
Stay tuned for more pictures of the outside and many more of Matthew and Kaylee.
