Photo Tag

I've been tagged by Amanda with this photo challenge and how could I refuse?
I've been instructed to post the sixth photo from the sixth folder in my archives...so here it is!
I actually had to go to my seventh folder since I only had five pictures in my sixth, you can say I cheated a bit haha! This is a picture of Matthew on Dec. 17th, 2005.
He was only one week old.
I can't believe how tiny he looks here, even though we all know he wasn't a tiny baby.
Isn't he just the cutest? I'm not a gloating mom...lol!
It was so much fun to look back at old photos, thanks for the tag Amanda!

Ok now I have to tag people I know with blogs which isn't too many, so I will tag:
Melody & John Z. and Tabitha!

Kaylee in Motion!

We finally got some cute video of Kaylee crawling. She really figured the whole thing out really quickly. Matthew loves crawling around with her. I think that's making her move that much faster, she has to keep up with her Big Brother.

Today is such a gloomy day. We have seen a little bit of everything here. We got about three inches of snow over night. But the temperatures have warmed up enough that it changed over to rain this morning. What a mess! And that should make for a great combination tonight when the temps drop again...Nice and icy, Yay!!!

Stay warm and safe today!!!

Busy Day!

We had quite the busy day today!
Jason took the day off so we could all go and check out a potential preschool for Matthew. How surreal that was. We can't believe he's going to preschool already. It still feels like yesterday he was just this little baby, now he's going to school...Ugh that makes me sad!!!
Anyway, I think we found his school for September. It's called St. John's preschool, right here in Holbrook. Matthew really liked the playground they have outside. We saw some classes in progress too. We got to meet the teachers and they really made us feel welcome.
Matthew seems pretty excited about the whole thing. We'll just have to keep that way of thinking going until September.
*****
Matthew also started another library class today.
This one is called "Tales for Threes."
It's a four week class, and each week the instructor is reading stories about animals, and at the end the kids get to make a craft.
This week was about bunnies. She read "Guess How Much I Love You?" and two other bunny stories. Then the kids made bunny ears and sang some songs, before we went home.

Matthew couldn't wait to come home and show Daddy his bunny ears that he made.
He insisted on wearing them home, instead of his nice warm winter hat...too cute!!!
I think next week the theme is kitty cats.
Matthew will surely enjoy that since we have two cats!

Eighty Years Young!

We want to wish "Great" Pop-Pop a very Happy 80th Birthday today! We hope you have a really great day.
We wish we could have been there to celebrate with you.
Enjoy the day with mom, dad, Uncle Steve, Anita, Chris, and Mema.
We're so glad they could all be there with you.
We miss you all and can't wait to see you in April again.

And She's Off...

It's official, Kaylee is crawling!!!
It took some time of lunging and rolling, but she finally figured it out.
Now I'm really going to get nothing done...hehe!

It's so cute to watch her crawling. She's going really slow right now, but she has figured out real quick that this is a great thing.
As most of you know, Kaylee is a REAL Momma's girl, so she has quickly figured out she can follow me pretty much wherever I go. Ugh!!! It was nice to leave her alone in the next room for a few minutes to play, while I did the dishes or cleaned up. Although maybe I'll be able to use this to my advantage, and have her help me...Lol:)

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

This has been a busy month for birthdays in our family.
Today we want to wish my Dad a very Happy Birthday!
I know he's going to kill me for mentioning his age, but he is 62 years old today, and looking and doing great.
Have a wonderful Birthday Dad, or as Matthew calls him "Pa."
We love you!!!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my grandparents anniversary.
We want to wish them a very Happy day.
We hope you are doing something very special to celebrate. It's soooo wonderful to be able to say I have two grandparents still living.
What's even more special is that my children have "Great" grandparents.
It stinks that they live in Florida.
They don't get to enjoy Matthew and Kaylee as much as they would like. But they sure do spoil them, when they do see them.
We just make sure to keep sending pictures and updates often, so they see what's going on with us.
We miss you guys and will see you again in April!

At Last...

I'm happy to report that Kaylee has finally popped two more teeth on top...Yay!!!
It feels like we've been waiting for those two to come through forever. Only sixteen more to go hehe!
The weather here has improved slightly today.
It looks like a really beautiful day outside. The sun is shining brightly, but it is absolutely freezing out. We're not supposed to get out of the teens today...yikes! And its really not going to get much warmer over the weekend.
Looks like we'll have to find some fun stuff to do indoors.

Also, we want to wish John Z. a very Happy Birthday!
Hope you have a fun day!

And Snow It Go's...

We are getting another round of snow here today and some really cold temperatures...18 degrees. Brrr!!! We've ended up with about three to four inches of fluffy snow with this storm.
Matthew was disappointed, he wanted to make another snowman, but he made the best of it in other ways.

He was such a good little helper shoveling the walkway and the driveway!

We even managed to get some playtime in while Kaylee was taking her nap.
We threw snow at each other, which Matthew loved. And we sled around a bit,
before coming in to some nice hot chocolate.
Despite the cold, we had fun!!!

Happy Nine Months!!!

I feel so bad, I usually get things done on time, but not this past weekend.
We were sick, so I didn't get the chance to update anything.
Kaylee was nine months old on Saturday.
And what a way to turn nine months...with 101 fever and a runny nose,
as you can see in the picture below.
Poor baby!
So let's see, in the past month she has mastered sitting by herself really well now.
She still LOVES our cat Tigger as you can see in the next picture.
Her word of the month is "dada."
And she's not quite yet crawling, but she gets on all fours, rocks herself a few times, and than lunges forward to get where she wants to go, she's very determined!

She' s really starting to interact with her toys now too.
As you can see, she has found her cute little purse, and is ready to go shopping...lol:)

Thanks dad for the money and the keys to the car! Hehe!!!

Hope everyone is well!!!!

Well on our way!

Like father like son!
Matthew decided when he was going to go pee pee on the potty, he was going to bring a book to read, just like daddy brings the newspaper.
Boy, do kids really watch what their parents do...sorry honey! lol:P
As of the new year, we are making Matthew really focus on potty training, and he's doing sooooo great! Except for a few accidents in the pull-up, he's being staying really dry.
Good job baby!
Next...on to the real "big boy" underpants. Wish us luck!!!

Oh Knooooow...

So there hasn't been much going on in the Ostroski household to write about, since New Year's, until today. My children just always amaze me. I was feeding Kaylee and had to go to the bathroom really bad, so I left her in her highchair with her bottle, and went quickly to the bathroom. Matthew was in the den watching the Wiggles, so I thought. I hear the two of them laughing away. So I was maybe gone two minutes at most and this is what I find....Matthew feeding Kaylee her lunch or should I say painting her face with it lol:)
Too funny!!!!
He's such a good helper. He really tries hard anyway.

That will teach me not to leave the room from now on, or at least go and do my business before feeding time haha!!!!

It's a new year!

We hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's Eve and Day!
We rang in the New Year at home with our family. My parents, Jason's parents, Aunt Mary, and my Grandparents all came over. We had appetizers and drinks, and rang in the New Year with a champagne toast. It was a very nice night. And believe it or not, both Matthew and Kaylee were up at midnight. Matthew loves it when we have people over, so he can go to bed later. We made sure he had a good nap that afternoon, so he was ready for the late night ahead. As for Kaylee, she woke up at 11:15, she's been waking up several times a night from her teething, so New Years Eve was no exception!
New Year's Day, we all stayed in our pajamas and relaxed the whole day. Matthew and Daddy played all afternoon, while Kaylee and I took a nice long nap.

I took these cute pictures of Kaylee and Matthew this morning, dressed in their cute winter sweaters, that I wanted to share.

Well I can't believe 2008 is over and the holidays as well. I feel like I just put all of my Christmas stuff up and now it all has to come down. I LOVE Christmas, so it makes me sad to take everything down. I go crazy decorating, so the house looks sooooo blah after its all down...oh well!!! We are taking our tree down this weekend, there are needles falling all over the place. But the rest of the decorations will stay up for one more week for us to enjoy.

Also we just wanted to wish Grammie Bea(Jason's mom), a very Happy Birthday!
Her birthday was yesterday. Hope you had a nice relaxing day!
