We're Going...

We're going to the Mets new ballpark Citifield on Saturday...Yay!!! We got tickets to an exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox.
It's a win win for us all.
After watching the stadium being built for the last couple of years, we finally get to see the new stadium inside and Jason gets to watch two of his favorite teams play each other.Hopefully the weather is warm enough that Kaylee will get to go to her first Mets game...pray for good weather!!!

Bunnies Bunnies Bunnies...

Matthew and I went to a class at the library this morning called Bunnies bunnies bunnies.
It was forty five minutes all about bunny rabbits. We made a cute bunny craft, heard a story and learned all about baby bunnies.
The kids even got to hold and play with real baby bunny rabbits.Matthew really loved holding the bunny!
He was so cute, he kept hugging the bunny and was sooooo gentle with it.
I wish he was that good with his little sister and our cats...lol:)

He got a big kick out the bunnies eating and drinking their food. One bunny laid in the water dish to drink and was all wet. Matthew thought that was the funniest thing.

Here is a picture of Matthew with his bunny craft. He glued the little ladybugs on all by himself and I helped him with the rest. It came out very cute. After seeing all of those bunnies, Matthew is ready for Easter. We even took out some books to read at home. Matthew can't wait to read "Clifford's Happy Easter" tonight for story time.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
XOXO
Love,
The Ostroski's

Think Green...

We want to wish everyone a
HaPpY St. PaTrIcK's DaY!
I can't wait to eat our corned beef and cabbage dinner.
I look forward to this meal every year...since it's the only time I make it.
And for dessert we will have pistachio pudding pie...yummoooo!!!
My mom used to make it every St. Patty's day when I was little.
It was so good, it became a tradition every year to have the "green" pie with our meal.
Now that I have my own family, I've brought that tradition to my St Patty's meal.
******
Enjoy your day and be safe!

Inspired...

Today is such a dreary rainy day, and I'm dealing with two kids with colds.
I've been wanting to update my blog for a while, change it up a bit, but just haven't.
Thank you Amanda for inspiring me.
I love how you changed yours to be more springy.
I wanted to brighten mine up too.
Get some flowers in there, so it's more cheery for the spring and summer.
So here I am, while Kaylee is napping and Matthew is resting and watching his cartoons, I'm changing my blog.
Hope everyone likes the new look.
Now I'm off to change my slide show. Time to put some bright and cheery pictures up and get rid of those winter pics!!

11 Months!!!

Kaylee is 11 months old today!
Our baby is fast becoming a toddler. It makes me sooooo sad! They just grow way too fast.
This past month she started to stand holding on to any piece of furniture she can find.
She also started walking along the couch.
She even stood all by herself the other day. I don't think she realized what she was doing at first and when she did, she fell to her hiney...too cute!!!

Her favorite things to do lately are clap hands and wave hi.
She loves when Matthew is watching cartoons with music, she bops up and down to the music and claps hands, it's so cute to watch.

*******

And I am proud to say she has said Mama for the first time....Today!!!
I've been waiting for it for months now, and am soooooo excited she has finally said it.
Every time I try to get her to repeat ma ma ma after me, she goes da da da instead.
It's too funny!

*******

Well next time I write a post about Kaylee, she will be One year old!!!
This has been the fastest year ever, besides Matthew's first year of course. That went by in a flash too!

35...Ugh!!!

Today is my Birthday!

I can't believe I'm telling everyone how old I actually am. I think I'm delirious about it.
I'm not dealing well with this thirty-five thing, don't know why.
I would like to pretend that it's really not my birthday today. Hey at least I CAN say it's my mom's birthday instead...it's nice being two days apart lol:)
Although she always says we're celebrating my birthday not hers, so it works both ways!
Now I know why she always wanted to hide in my day instead.
So, I will be going out tonight for dinner and drinks to celebrate with Jason, my best friend Melody and her husband John.
Best friends are great in time of need...Drinks on me guys...hehe!!!

Happy Day...

Today is my mom's birthday!
We hope you have a really great day!
Funny little story, I'd like to share.
Yesterday my parent's stopped by to see the kids while they were out and about running errands. They LOVE their grandkids!
Anyway, we were telling Matthew that it's Grandma's birthday and that its going to be Mommy's this weekend. He's very into birthdays lately, loves the whole "Happy birthday" thing, from the singing to the blowing out the candles.
So he used his imagination, and pretended that four of his blocks were candles, turned out the lights in the kitchen, and started singing Happy Birthday to you, to Grandma. He's just too cute sometimes.
Grandma was very honored and happy that he did that for her.
He really can be such a charmer sometimes and such a devil most of the other.
But it was one of his sweet moments.
***
Matthew and Kaylee love you Grandma and hope you have a really great Birthday!
Matthew can't wait to help you blow out the candles on your cake this weekend!

The "Big" One...

March has come in like a lion.
We got our biggest snowfall of the season, last night and today!
It finally stopped snowing around 4:00pm, and when all was said and done, we ended up with somewhere between 11-14 inches.
Jason took a snow day today, so Matthew couldn't wait to get outside and play, even when it was still snowing heavy.
They went out earlier in the day to snow blow, shovel, and of course play.
And when Jason went out one more time to do a last shoveling job, his sidekick was right out there with him.

Mommy and Kaylee stayed in the warm house and watched from the door.
Mommy is soooooo done with winter and want spring to come soon.
But I think I'm going to have to suck it up and go out and play in the snow tomorrow, because Matthew isn't going to let me stay in the house, and I think Kaylee really wanted to get out there with the boys!
Secretly, I'll enjoy it! Watching my kids have fun is the best!!!
