Pumpkin Picking 2009

It's been a little crazy around here!
I've been wanting to post some pictures of our day pumpkin picking, but just haven't had a chance.
Now I've finally had a minute to get it done! Matthew and Kaylee had a great time in the pumpkin patch and found some really great pumpkins!
Cute picture of Kaylee in the pumpkins!

Matthew found a really great pumpkin!

Matthew, Kaylee and Daddy looking for that perfect pumpkin to carve into a jack o'lantern!

Hey look at our baby pumpkins! Boy they taste good too! Lol:)
We had a fun filled day at the pumpkin farm with good friends!
Stay tuned for the unveiling of the Halloween costumes!

Apple Picking

We had a fun weekend!
We took Kaylee and Matthew apple picking on Saturday.
They had lots of fun running through all of the apple trees. Matthew loved pulling the apples off the trees, while Kaylee liked picking the ones off the ground and throwing them into the basket!
Surprisingly she didn't put any of them in to her mouth. Hey this is so much fun!

Kaylee also liked taking the apples out of the basket and throwing them back onto the ground...too funny!

I found a good one!

Ummmm can't wait to go home and bite into one of these apples!

Can we eat them now???
We're hungry!!!

Look at all of our apple's!
*****
We had a fun day! After apple picking, we stopped at the outlet's had lunch and did a little shopping...fun fun!!!
We hope everyone had a nice weekend as well!

Made it...

So Matthew has made it through two weeks of pre-school and he's loving it!
He's been learning shapes which he already knows really well and he's been having fun with the glue sticks at school! He loves playtime and his teacher said he loved the tube that they climbed through the other day!
Here are his first two weeks of projects that he's made. All about shapes!
He's sooooo proud of his work...Lol:) Hope everyone has a really nice weekend!
We plan on going apple picking tomorrow, since it's gonna be the only nice day of the weekend, rain in the forecast for Sunday! :(
XOXO

My Favorite Season...

Today is the first day of Autumn!
This is my favorite season! I love the smells of fall, the cool nights, and looking forward to going pumpkin picking with the kids.
Halloween is just around the corner and we're all ready! Matthew has decided what him and Kaylee will be. He was too funny when I asked him what he wanted to be...He told me "I'm gonna be Elmo and Kaylee can be Abby(Abby Cadabby)! There was noooooo changing his mind, so Elmo has been bought and I'm hand making Kaylee's Abby costume and I really think it's coming out cute! I'll post a picture when I get it all together, I could use some opinions!
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week!

Never Forget...

Take a minute today to remember all of the families who lost a loved one on September 11th!
Can't believe it's been eight years already!
I can still remember that day like it was yesterday! I was at work and Jason called to say a plane hit one of the towers. That was the start to a very sad crazy day! I was soooo worried that he might be in danger being in Brooklyn, not too far from what was going on!
I was soooo glad to see him home before me that day. I just ran up to him and hugged him tight, knowing he was safe!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone on this somber day!

Matthew Goes to Pre-School...

Today Matthew started his first day of Pre-school!
It was so crazy to be bringing him to school. I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday!
Our Baby boy is now a "Big" boy! Wow does time fly!
So Matthew did really well with his first day. He left the house pretty happy to be going to school! We went to orientation on Tuesday, he met his teacher and saw his classroom, so he knew exactly what was going to happen, which made things easy for him to go.
I on the other hand was sad to leave him. I'm sooooo used to him being home all the time, so it's kind of a transition for me too as well as Kaylee. After dropping Matthew off we came home and Kaylee was calling for him, too cute!
Thankfully he only went for an hour today and next week...a slow transition to get the kids used to going to school. I think its for the parents too...LOL! After that he will be going Tuesdays/Thursdays for two and half hours!
I took lots of pictures and so many came out too cute, so I made a slide show of Matthew's first day!

Our Summer in Pictures

It's been over three months since I last wrote a post...Memorial Day to be exact!
Summer was busy and went waaayyyy too fast!
So instead of doing various posts, I made a slide show of our summer.
Here is just some of what we did this summer...
We went to Sesame Place with our friends Melody, John and their twin girls Hailey and Mackenzie which was really a lot of fun!
We took Kaylee to her first Mets Game, she really had no clue what was going on, but she was amazed by all of the people.
We went to a few carnivals/festivals...Matthew had a blast on all the rides, actually so did Kaylee Lol:)
We spent lots of time in the pool...thankfully it finally got nice and warm. It looked like we weren't gonna have a summer for a while, it started out very rainy and cool!
Matthew graduated from a toddler bed to a "Big Boy" twin size bed!
This was a our summer in a nutshell!
Enjoy our slide show and I will be posting more often again now that things have slowed down a little.

Matthew is starting his first day of preschool this week!
Stay tuned for pics of his day!

Our Long Weekend...

We hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend!
We sure did. Matthew and Kaylee love it when Daddy is home. I realize I haven't been very good at putting posts up on here lately. The weather is getting warmer and we have been spending lots of time outside. I'm just too tired at night. I'll try and be better.
Anyway I posted some cute pictures of the kids from the weekend.
As you can see it's really hard to get them to cooperate together! But a real cute picture none the less.

Kaylee sporting her Stars and Stripes, and her new Mickey bow.

Matthew was helping Daddy clean all the yuckies off of the swing set. He got a little wet from the hose lol:)

Cute pic of Kaylee in her patriotic sunhat.
She was having a blast in the bouncy house!

We went for a walk through the neighborhood.
Oh wait I did all the walking...The prince and princess got pulled around in the wagon lol:)

Isn't our princess just the cutest little thing?!?!
I just love watching her walk, her little waddle!
The beginning of walking is so cute.

"Look out here I come!"

******
The kids had a great time playing this past weekend.
I got all of my plants and flowers planted and we also went to Lisa and Jeff's for a barbecue.
Quite a busy weekend, but fun!

He's such a good kitty, puts up with a lot form all of us, especially Matthew and Kaylee.
We love you baby.

First Steps...

Kaylee has taken her first steps as of this afternoon!!!
******
She has been standing up all by herself for a while now, but just hadn't gotten that courage to take off and walk.
Matthew and I were watching her today and she had this look on her face like I'm going to do it, and she finally did...yay!!!
She's still using crawling as her main means of moving, but gets up and takes a few steps before she falls down.
She gets the biggest smile on her face after and looks sooooo proud of herself.
****
Our baby girl is growing way too fast, it makes me so sad.
Stay tuned for some video of Kaylee's first steps.

Kaylee's 1st Birthday Party

Wow I haven't written a post in quite a while.
Things here were a bit crazy trying to plan Kaylee's party after Easter.
Boy did we luck out with the weather for the party. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The sun was shining and the temps were in the seventies.
Everyone ended up outside and my house stayed pretty clean as a result yay!!!
Bear with me as I have posted quite a few pictures...
"Look at my pretty balloon!"

"Ummmmm yummy cupcake!"

Happy cousins Tara, Matthew, & Rebecca all playing well together out on the swings.

Grammie and cousin Kirstin.

Eleanor, Aunt Carol, & Uncle Bobby enjoying the sun.

Uncle Jeff stuffing his face with food lol:) Aunt Lisa enjoying her beer. And Aunt Melody enjoying holding a newborn that's not her own hehe!
Love you guys!

Uncle Chris and his girlfriend Jessie hanging out.

There's Aunt Melody again with Uncle Joe and Aunt Danielle, and their new daughter Peyton, she's sooooo cute and a little peanut.

The kids enjoyed fighting for the candy after they broke open the pinata.

Happy Birthday to you Kaylee!!!
She was like "what the heck is going on???" "Why are all of these people here?"

And we couldn't forget a family picture. Gotta love Matthew's Hawaiian Punch moustache lol:)
******
We had a really great day with family and friends.
The kids ran around the backyard all afternoon, while the adults all enjoyed the nice weather and good conversation.
We hope everyone had a great time!
******
Also I would like to thank Lisa for helping me out with the food. Your sausage rolls and rice were a BIG hit with everyone.
I would also like to thank our parents for the tables and chairs they let us borrow, and for helping out with the cleanup afterwards...HUGE help!

Easter Fun!

We hope everyone had a really nice Easter.
We had a full day of fun and family.
Matthew was up bright and early. Jason had to run out quick and set up the video camera, while I distracted Matthew in the bedroom with some cartoons for a bit...too funny! He couldn't wait to see what the Easter bunny brought him, and he couldn't wait to go and find all the eggs that were hidden.
Matthew and Kaylee opened up their baskets, Matthew searched and found all of the Easter eggs, he took egg finding very seriously lol:)
Then we had breakfast, got dressed and went to church.
Kaylee really had no clue what this Easter stuff was all about, but she loved her stuffed bunny and fisher price tea set that the Easter bunny brought her.
How cute do our two cuties look all dressed up???
Happy first Easter to our baby girl...It was Kaylee's first Easter!
After church we went to my parents house for Easter dinner.
The Easter bunny even went to Grandma and Pa's house to hide some eggs.
Matthew was so excited to find more eggs. He didn't even get his coat off, and he was off finding eggs already, it was so cute.
We had a very nice Easter!
Now we're looking forward to some warmer weather and Kaylee's 1st birthday party in two weeks.

Kaylee's 1st Birthday

Kaylee had a great 1st birthday!
We got her a couple of balloons and a Carvel cake to celebrate the day.
"Aren't I just the cutest birthday girl?"
"My Mommy and Daddy sure do think so."

Matthew couldn't wait to light the candles and sing "Happy Birthday" to his little sister.

Kaylee says, "Bring on that cake already!"

Matthew helped blow out the candle, while Kaylee watched in amazement.

Ummmmm, yummy cake!!!!
Besides having a cold, Kaylee had a great day.
We get to do it all over again in two weeks for her actual party...yay lots more fun to come!!!
